SENIOR TAX ASSOCIATE – Bryan, Texas and Navasota, Texas

We are currently seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join our growing firm. As a Senior Tax Associate, you will be part of a team responsible for tax preparation and review, as well as tax planning and consulting work with a wide variety of clients across many industry sectors. You will have the opportunity to develop relationships with clients, staff, and management while working together on tax strategies to benefit our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, and entities, and demonstrate the ability to implement client engagements from start to finish. 
  • Work with Tax Associates to help resolve questions or issues.
  • Become proficient at tax research.
  • Develop quality deliverables, including supporting workpapers, and tax planning approaches.
  • Provide timely and responsive services for all client needs.
  • Perform due diligence, including review of tax returns and other documentation, to evaluate potential tax risks and opportunities.
  • Take ownership of managing the process for your assigned workflow, including monitoring the information coming in and ensuring that deliverables are timely provided.
  • Begin developing and managing client relationships.
 
Minimum Requirements
  • At least 3 years of professional tax experience
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting
  • Strong analytical, research, and time management skills
  • Proficient in Excel and Adobe Acrobat
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong sense of personal motivation
  • Ability to work cooperatively with a team
  • Ability to work independently in overcoming obstacles and reaching solutions
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced, and time-sensitive environment
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting
  • Licensed CPA or CPA exam eligible
