Job Description
Constituent Services Liaison Responsibilities:
• Assist Texans with problems or access to services with federal agencies.
• Initiate prompt inquiry with federal agencies when required.
• Provide prompt and accurate responses to incoming Constituent Services communications (written & verbal).
• Ensure prompt and accurate case documentation in correspondence database.
• Interact with constituents and federal agency congressional relations staff.
• Attend job-related meetings, agency seminars, and briefings (as needed).
• Assist in answers incoming phone calls.
• Assists the district staff assistant with administrative duties.
• Monitors the District News (Daily) and Franked Mail Reports (Monthly basis).
• Creates certificates and letters to send to constituents in TX-10.
• Other assigned duties by the Chief of Staff & District Director
Education:
• Four-year college degree, or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
Skills/Requirements:
• Must possess strong professional communication skills (written & oral)
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in performing responsibilities w/minimal supervision
• Knowledge of general office procedures
• Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
• Detail oriented and possess critical thinking skills
• 1 to 3 years of experience preferred
Note: This is an in-office position, 40 hours per week, Monday- Friday.
