Building Products Testing, Inspections, and Certification
 
NTA, Inc. an independent 3rd party building product inspection, testing, and certification organization headquartered in Nappanee, IN is seeking a full-time Building Products Account Manager in the Bryan/College Station, Texas area. This position is responsible for business development and client relationships for NTA’s building products division. Previous knowledge of building products, building materials and building codes is ideal. Position requires the ability to perform technical evaluations of customer’s product needs and requested testing or evaluation. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar is preferred.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for selling NTA’s Building Products Division services including preparation and delivery of sales documents, proposals/quotes, and presentations
  • Develop new prospects and maintains favorable relationships with existing customers to meet individual and company revenue goals. Establish and grow distribution networks, meet or exceed sales and market share expectations.
  • Develop a strong pipeline of new customers and projects in accounts through prospecting and customer contact
  • Identify potential clients via research and networking
  • Conduct cold/warm client calls and attend industry events/trade shows
  • Maintain a thorough, up-to-date record of clients and prospect database
  • Maintain awareness of key industry developments to leverage sales opportunities
  • Identify and help to develop strategic relationships with clients
  • Maintain involvement in customer projects and ensure customer’s expectations are communicated well with operations and provide feedback to the customer as necessary
  • Establish excellent relationships with all internal and external testing laboratories and inspection agencies to ensure all work is completed efficiently and accurate as required
  • Work closely with Directors, Managers and Inspection Services in defining internal requirements or needs specific to customer or industry needs
  • Promote effective communication throughout the organization. Identify opportunities and recommend actions that will help in building new business
  • Oversee, organize, prioritize and schedule work activities and assignments.

Position Requirements:
  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in any Discipline

Preferred Experience:
  • Two years’ experience in building codes including but not limited to all I-codes and state amendments
  • General knowledge of ISO standards and Quality Management Systems
  • Experience in selling enterprise solutions to senior level decision makers
  • Knowledge of Testing Building Products and Materials is a plus
