Key responsibilities
- Consult with clients about their health history, preferences, and desired outcomes.
- Assess client needs and recommend appropriate massage techniques.
- Provide massage services within the scope of your training and license.
- Explain treatment plans, techniques, and aftercare recommendations.
- Maintain accurate, confidential client records.
- Prepare, clean, and sanitize treatment rooms and equipment between appointments.
- Monitor client comfort and adjust pressure or techniques as needed.
- Follow infection-control, safety, and professional-boundary standards.
Qualifications
- Current massage therapy license.
- Strong communication, listening, and client-service skills.
- Knowledge of anatomy, massage techniques, contraindications, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and protect client confidentiality.
