POSITION SUMMARY
Performs a range of unskilled, semi-skilled, and skilled tasks to keep production operations running smoothly. Receives cross-training in all facets of production, such as upholstery, assembly, pre-assembly, foaming and laying, as well as boxing and shipping. Functions as a versatile team member, rotating between different roles within the facility as needed.
Reads and interprets work orders to determine which products need to be produced for the order. Locates and verifies materials and components to match the specifications outlined.
Consistently inspects work in progress to ensure compliance with established procedures and current quality standards, searching for defects during the boxing process and checking against procedural requirements and quality standards.
Follows proper procedures, ensures all items are accurate and counted, and pays close attention to creating complete and high-quality work.

  • Maintain a smooth production flow by preventing bottlenecks and shortages.
  • Avoid re-work, delays, and lost production time by consistently prioritizing quality and safety in every task.
  • Ensure every coworker is thoroughly trained to perform their duties without impacting productivity, with supervisors and team members sharing the responsibility for effective on-the-job training.
  • Focus on completing finished products at every stage of production, supporting all active areas of the process and understanding both upstream and downstream responsibilities.
  • Operate as a unified manufacturing team: help other departments when your tasks are done and expect reciprocal support.
  • Eliminate non-value-added activities, maintaining high productivity during the entire workday.
  • Follow all guidelines relevant to your work area, including quantity and quality standards, and promptly report any discrepancies to your supervisor with clear details.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSET

  • Professionalism is expected; your team relies on you to be there. Show up to work consistently on time, as scheduled, within established company attendance requirements and perform your job duties timely.
  • Use hand tools and equipment properly and safely to produce quality pieces with speed and accuracy.
  • Stand for up to 8 hours daily with a wide range of motion & lifting 15 – 50 pounds consistently.
  • Mechanically inclined, good with numbers.
  • Maintain pace with assembly line.
  • Autonomous and quality conscious; focusing on details and efficiency.
  • Manufacturing/Production experience and/or exposure preferred.
  • Follow specific written and verbal instructions in English, including work orders, safety policies, and company practices.
  • Accurate, organized, detailed, efficient, flexible, coordinate shifting priorities, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Analysis, teamwork, judgment/discernment, collaboration, relationship building, ability to switch gears quickly while in a high-volume environment, and negotiation skills are paramount in this role.
  • Excellent communication skills and Problem resolution – intuitively understands how to research, exchange information, and apply techniques for solution options. Uses company databases, email, internet, phone, and appropriate personnel both inside and outside for information and collaboration on resolutions.
  • Ability to interact with all levels and areas of the company
  • Desire to continue your skills, growth, and learning. Continual process improvement is expected.
  • Strong work ethic and exemplary attendance with strong service and computer skills.
  • Strong willingness to take on other responsibilities/duties as needed
  • Able to, reliably, commute to Bryan, TX daily M-F

EQUIPMENT EXPERIENCE

  • Hand tools, air-powered tools, staple gun, packing machine, steamer, spray gun, grinder, pallet jack, two- wheel dolly and other equipment as specified by processes in a safe manner following intentions of the manufacturer. Some roles may utilize a forklift.

Mon - Fri 7:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. 45 Min. lunch (8 hours/day +/-, Seasonal OT per Department including weekend
In-person role in Bryan, TX-No remote work available
Salary Rate of Pay: $15.00/Hr
