Job Description: HR Generalist / HR Coordinator
Location: College Station / Bryan area, TX
Schedule / Working Hours: Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Compensation: $65,000 / year (depending on experience)
About the Role
Are you an experienced HR professional who excels at both high-level strategy and day-to-day talent stewardship? We are seeking a dedicated HR Generalist to help shape human capital strategy, elevate workplace culture, and ensure seamless HR operations.
In this role, you will act as a trusted partner to senior leadership while serving as a bridge between directors and staff. You will oversee the full employee lifecycle—from talent acquisition and onboarding to compensation, compliance, and employee relations—ensuring the workplace environment remains fair, supportive, and aligned with organizational vision and core values.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Workforce Design: Collaborate with leadership to align personnel strategies, organizational design, and long-term workforce planning with business goals.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Manage end-to-end recruitment strategies to attract top talent. Standardize onboarding programs and evaluate new hire integration.

Employee Relations & Culture: Serve as a confidential mediator and trusted partner across all departments. Promote a positive work environment, resolve disputes, conduct investigations when necessary, and champion a culture built on fairness and mutual respect.

Performance Management: Oversee performance evaluation frameworks that provide staff with constructive feedback, career development opportunities, and meaningful recognition.

Compensation & Benefits: Partner with Finance to manage and optimize competitive salary structures, payroll, and employee benefit packages.

Compliance & Policy Administration: Monitor federal and state labor laws, maintain secure personnel records, and update employee handbooks to ensure full legal compliance.

Safety & Risk Screening: Oversee compliance protocols, background checks, drug screenings, and safety initiatives.

Personnel Budgeting: Collaborate with the finance department to prepare, track, and manage the annual personnel budget.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required Experience & Skills:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.

Experience: 1–4 years of progressive, well-rounded HR generalist experience across talent acquisition, compensation, employee relations, and compliance.

Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and hands-on experience with HRIS and payroll platforms (experience with ADP is a strong plus).

Communication & Discretion: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport across all levels of the organization and handle sensitive situations with absolute confidentiality.

Leadership & Guidance: Natural ability to coach, mentor, and guide management and staff through HR processes and organizational changes.
Preferred Certifications (Bonus Points!):

SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
